“I sometimes feel that a pattern is almost a fashion statement in itself.” No source has surfaced for this, and it sits curiously against the “Queen of Less” minimalism Jil Sander made famous in the 1990s — which may be exactly why it lasts. From a radical minimalist, admitting that a pattern already shouts is really an argument for silence: if print is a statement, then so is its absence. The immaculate plain garment says something too, quietly, and it keeps saying it long after the loud print has stopped.
**AS Colour 5082 “Faded Bone” — Oversized Tee (Cream finish).** 100% carded cotton, heavyweight 240 gsm, garment-dyed — each tee fades a little differently, so no two are identical. Oversized, boxy relaxed fit, dropped shoulders, wide twin-stitched ribbed neck, side-seamed, pre-shrunk (size down for a less roomy look). Care: machine wash cold inside-out with like colors, do NOT bleach, do NOT tumble dry (line dry in the shade to protect the garment dye), cool iron inside-out (never iron the print).
