“I am doing my best to not become a museum of myself.” Natalie Diaz wrote this in her 2020 collection Postcolonial Love Poem, insisting that a Mojave poet’s self stay a living, changing thing. She would keep moving, keep revising the person she is, and leave the museum-making to other people.
