“Fashion is a tool… to compete in life outside the home. People like you better, without knowing why, because people always react well to a person they like the looks of.” Mary Quant made this blunt case in the mid-1960s, the King’s Road years when her miniskirts helped kit out a generation of women walking into offices and universities in numbers without precedent. She was refreshingly frank: clothes are a tool for competing in public life, and looking the part opens doors before you say a word. Dress, in her telling, is less decoration than equipment for going out and getting what you’re after.
**AS Colour 5082 “Faded Bone” — Oversized Tee (Cream finish).** 100% carded cotton, heavyweight 240 gsm, garment-dyed — each tee fades a little differently, so no two are identical. Oversized, boxy relaxed fit, dropped shoulders, wide twin-stitched ribbed neck, side-seamed, pre-shrunk (size down for a less roomy look). Care: machine wash cold inside-out with like colors, do NOT bleach, do NOT tumble dry (line dry in the shade to protect the garment dye), cool iron inside-out (never iron the print).
