“Eccentricity is chic. Good taste paralyzes. But punk or street fashion or a tattoo-covered body, that is interesting to me, and that I love.” Jean Paul Gaultier found his eye on London’s streets during the 1970s punk years rather than in any salon, and he kept the preference for life: eccentricity over the safe correctness he thought only paralyzes. Punk, the pierced and tattooed body, the street misfit — that was where he found the charge. The odd is alive in a way the merely tasteful can rarely manage.
**AS Colour 5082 “Faded Bone” — Oversized Tee (Cream finish).** 100% carded cotton, heavyweight 240 gsm, garment-dyed — each tee fades a little differently, so no two are identical. Oversized, boxy relaxed fit, dropped shoulders, wide twin-stitched ribbed neck, side-seamed, pre-shrunk (size down for a less roomy look). Care: machine wash cold inside-out with like colors, do NOT bleach, do NOT tumble dry (line dry in the shade to protect the garment dye), cool iron inside-out (never iron the print).
