The portrait was done in chalk, conté & acrylic worked over a xerox of a photo taken by Sergei Eisentstein in Mexico. Nails adorn the figure as in an minkisi sculpture. The tarred knife was found on a roof in Ypsilanti, MI and is her tool for harvesting magical and medicinal roots.
