The photo at the heart of this piece depicts chained men conscripted into military service. Various offerings are laid out to assist them in returning home. The small bone doll in the grave is both an ominous portent, and an appeal to the ancestors. Keys, a candle and a mojo bottle are tools for safe return. Dense nails evoke minkisi sculptures.
