Essentially an abstract, Medicine Tree pays visual and metaphoric homage to Kongo and Hoodoo traditions. The medicine jars are covered in cloth bags treated with red clay. The eye on the larger bottle is a piece of mirror set into an eye-shaped spinal bone. The smaller jar has a skeleton key tied to it.
