This piece was inspired by wooden Bizango altars I saw at Marilyn Houlberg’s. The cross and box are salvaged wood. The top of the cross features a skeleton made from found cast iron pieces. A scythe and skull are bound in chains and locks. The box at the base is glassed in with antique pink mirror which has been scratched away to reveal a baby with one eye (like Ghede) who wears a ring of skeleton keys around his neck.
