My Kinetic Sculpture, Galaxy No. 3, is on view in Charlevoix, MI for the next two years as part of a public art program featuring 8 sculptures.

The sculpture show is a collaboration between a number of groups, as described by the Petoskey News:

With a goal of “Building Communities through Public Art”, the City of Charlevoix recently partnered with the Sauvé Art Foundation, Charlevoix Circle of Arts and the Charlevoix Public Art Institute to install eight sculptures on public property throughout the City of Charlevoix.

It’s nice to see Galaxy installed in public, as the sculpture had been in storage for the last year. More details about the size of the sculpture and what I was working on when I made it can be read on an older blog post here. I feel like it has a bit of a nautical feel, which make it a natural fit for Charlevoix.
