13 May Dancer Sculptures at Belstone Gallery
Last weekend I picked up the first batch of Dancer Sculptures I’ve had powder coated and took them to Belstone Gallery…. They were intended to be gloss black with just the heads done in color, but somehow they wound up single color…. I’ve had much more success selling items with a rust finish than bright primary colors, but these drew a lot of positive comments at the opening last Friday. Personally, I love seeing them stand out more and I think the colors add a note of deep joyfulness that the world could really use these days. The sculptures will be on view at Belstone Gallery in Traverse City until sold, or you can order your choice in any color directly from me.
Last weekend I picked up the first batch of Dancer Sculptures I’ve had powder coated and took them to Belstone Gallery. I’m really pleased with the way they came out.
They were intended to be gloss black with just the heads done in color, but somehow they wound up single color. I could have had the powder coating reapplied, but the solid color look was so vibrant I decided to go with it. I’ll make some more soon and try the two tone look on those.
I’m curious to see how people respond to these. The sculptures will be on view at Belstone Gallery in Traverse City until sold, or you can order your choice in any color directly from me. Size ranges between five and six feet tall and the price is $350 each.
